Hospitality giant Accor Group will carry out a renovation programme the three-star Ibis Dubai Al Barsha Hotel, it has been reported. The four-month revamp will cover the hotel’s ground floor and lobby, and is set for “completion and launch in December 2018”.
The 480-room property will be open for business during the revamp, Accor Group said in a statement, adding that “minimal disruption” would be caused to guests.
Plans for the upgrade include the creation of a new reception area and a gym, in addition to “the enhancement of the hotel’s facilities”, Arabian Business reported. Meeting rooms will be added to the property, and “an exclusive new restaurant and bar concept” will also be introduced.
Commenting on the programme, Robin Solomon, hotel director of Ibis Dubai Al Barsha, said: “The Ibis Dubai Al Barsha has been a prominent feature of Sheikh Zayed Road since 2009 and we are thrilled to be upgrading our offering.
“An important factor for us is to reassure our guests that the hotel will remain open throughout this period, with a precise strategy in place to cause little to no disruption to travellers and diners alike.”
