An integral part of the team developing some of Dubai's most high-profile projects, Gurjit Singh is among the new entrants in the 2018 Construction Week Power 100.
A veteran of the UAE's property sector, Singh is currently the senior vice president of real estate at Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), and has 11 years of work experience in the Middle East.
Singh has been an instrumental part of the team driving the expansion of DWTC's exhibition facilities, as well as the development of projects within One Central and for Expo 2020 Dubai.
Between June 2017 and May 2018, Singh has overseen the completion of DWTC's new Convention Centre halls, named Zabeel Halls 4, 5, and 6. These projects were completed ahead of schedule and are now operational.

Among the other developments that DWTC worked on during the period was the 588-room Ibis One Central hotel. Located within One Central in the Dubai World Trade Centre area, the hotel was also completed ahead of schedule, and is now open for business.
Between now and May 2019, Singh and his team will oversee the development of two LEED Gold, Grade-A commercial office buildings spanning 7ha in One Central.
Singh's team will also work on Expo 2020 Dubai projects, such as Phase 1 of the Expo Village, which comprises 2,700 apartment and townhouse units at the Jebel Ali Mixed-Use Development.
DWTC is already working on the Dubai South Mall development adjacent to Expo Village, which is under construction to serve Expo 2020 Dubai.
Additionally, DWTC is developing the Expo Park 'green lung', a 25,000 refrigeration ton district cooling plant in Jebel Ali for Expo 2020 Dubai, and a convention and exhibition (CoEx) centre for the mega event, which will open on 20 October, 2020.
