Saudi-based property developer Dar Al Arkan has announced the launch of its $160m (SR600m) Mirabilia residential villas in Riyadh, in partnership with Roberto Cavalli for interiors.

Located within the $2.6m (SR10bn) mixed-use Shams Ar Riyadh Development, the project will include residential, commercial, and mixed-use spaces, integrating gardens, parks, and walkways.

Mirabilia, or Marvels in Latin, presents a collection of high-end, custom-built three to seven bedroom residential villas that range from 300m2 to 1600m2 in size.

A ceremony was organised in Riyadh to celebrate the launch of the development and partnership with Italy’s luxury fashion brand.

The event was attended by Yousef Bin Abdullah Al Shelash, chairman of Dar Al Arkan, Gian Giacomo Ferraris, CEO of Roberto Cavalli Group, who flew in to Riyadh especially for the occasion, in addition to a number of government officials, diplomats, dignitaries and investors.

The villas will overlook Wadi Hanifa and feature architectural designs and interiors by Roberto Cavalli.

Shams Ar Riyadh will feature retail centres, restaurants and cafés, landscaping and walkways, children’s play areas, schools, clinics, government offices, and mosques.

Investment in the city’s infrastructure works has so far exceeded $267m (SR1bn), which includes the construction of two power substations and main access roads.

Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), which entered into a strategic partnership with Shams Ar Riyadh to build the SABIC Residential Complex, is on track to complete 600 fully equipped residential units, all built across a 1.8 million sqm area. SABIC employees have already started moving into the community.
