The Building and Construction Conference is set to open on Wednesday, 25 April, in Salalah, Oman.
The opening of the conference will be held under the patronage of Dr Rasheed bin Al Safi Al-Huraibi, chairman of the sultanate’s Tender Board, according to Oman News Agency (ONA).
Scheduled to run for two days, the event will offer participants a platform to assess the state of the building and construction industry, in addition to helping them to stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the field of civil engineering, and increasing their awareness on sector challenges and opportunities.
The event will feature will working papers as well as discussion sessions, according to ONA.
The topics that will be covered include life-span of buildings, construction errors and malpractices, restoration and maintenance, new construction techniques, gypsum applications, engineering computing programs, and dispute resolution.
