Al Shirawi Group has signed an enterprise agreement with Oracle’s Aconex for its construction management software.
The agreement is set to benefit the group’s businesses in engineering services such as Al Shirawi Electrical & Mechanical Engineering, Al Shirawi Contracting, and Al Shirawi Interiors.
Aconex, a leading platform for digital project delivery in construction and engineering projects, will be standardised for all future projects undertaken by group entities.
The sofetware will be used by more than nine project teams in the initial phase, according to a statement.
Pramodh Idicheria, COO, Al Shirawi - Engineering Services Group, said: “As a progressive company that upholds the values of transparency and excellence, we felt Aconex with its brilliant collaborative features and audit trail will be highly beneficial for our people, operations and importantly, our partners and clients.”
The initial projects set to be deployed on Oracle’s Aconex are the Silicon Park of Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority and Cityland Mall, for which Al Shirawi Interiors is executing the fit-out scope, as well as Tiara Towers and American School of Dubai – Middle School.
Aconex solution for Al Shirawi will enable its teams to handle complex projects with aggressive schedules, allow for automation and standardisation of processes across the group and make communication and collaboration between teams more seamless.
“The Construction and Engineering sector continues to drive towards digital transformation at a rapid pace,” said Rob Matheson, regional director of sales for Oracle’s Aconex.
In a tough and competitive market, the leading players must continually evolve to not only distinguish themselves, but mitigate risk whilst optimising operational profitability.”
Aconex Connected Cost module will also be implemented as part of the agreement for integrated cost management.
Madhukar Nath Chaturvedi, IT director, Al Shirawi Group, added: “At Al Shirawi, we are firm believers in the power of technology to drive business growth.
“We scoured the market extensively for the best solution for our construction businesses and our search ended with Oracle’s Aconex.”
