Professional services company, GHD, has announced the appointment of Jennifer Barnett as legal counsel for its Europe and Middle East operations.

According to GHD, Barnett will support the company’s business in the region by advising the company on its legal needs, including risk management, compliance, and client contracts.

Barnett was previously with Iceland Foods Limited, where she managed the commercial legal team.

Before making the switch to in-house legal work, she served as an associate at the Liverpool office of Hill Dickinson. She also worked for Gateley for several years.

Commenting on Barnett’s appointment, Mark Ingram, general manager for Europe and Middle East at GHD, said: “The services we deliver to clients are underpinned by rigorous commercial and legal obligations. Jennifer will help us manage the risk associated with these elements, as well as advising on data protection best practice.”
