Abu Dhabi City Municipality (ADM) has signed $24m (AED87m) worth of contracts with property development and investment companies to build social infrastructure projects.
The contracts include the building and operation of three recreational playgrounds for workers and the construction of a sports complex in Musaffah.
The contracts also include four service stations in the residential districts of Wathba, Rahba, Shahama and Falah in Abu Dhabi.
Hamad Jassim Al Darwish signed the contract on behalf of Al Hail Holding Company LLC, while Mahmoud Jamil Ismail Al Rumahi signed for Cornerstone for Property Management LLC, and Naji Hassan Al Harathi for Tristar Properties.
Al-Hail Holding Company has launched a pioneering social charity initiative by funding the construction, management, maintenance and operation of the three workers’ playgrounds in the Musaffah area.
The other contracts were signed according to the Musataha model and mutual interest between the Municipality and the private sector.
Al Hail Holding Company will also build a sports complex while Tristar Real Estate Company will build three service stations within residential communities in Al Wathba, Al Rahba and Al Shahama. Cornerstone Company will build a service station at Al Falah residential community.
The $2.9m (AED11m) sports complex will be constructed in Sector 24 at Musaffah Industrial Area and is expected to start operation by 2020.
The service stations will provide a variety of services including carpentry, home repair, plumbing, electricity, air conditioning, tires trading, vehicle spare parts, car repair, laundry services, and others.
The two companies will start construction works for the project soon and are expected to start operation in less than three years. The stations will have a combined cost of more than $18m (AED65m).
