InterContinental Hotels Group has opened Holiday Inn Algiers – Cheraga Tower.
The opening marks the operating company’s debut in the country and with this addition, IHG now has 25 operational hotels across nine countries in Africa.
Featuring 242 rooms, Holiday Inn Algiers, Cheraga Tower is located west of Algiers and is in close proximity to international business centres and embassies.
Omar Ramdane, co-manager, S.A.R.L Modern Towers, said: “It is a privilege for Modern Towers to partner with IHG for its first hotel in Algeria, the beginning of a relationship of mutual trust and professionalism. Amenities at the Holiday Inn Algiers includes four dining options which includes Le 101 and an all-day dining restaurant – Ikosium.

Algeria is Africa's largest country, and the 10th largest in the world.
Across the Middle East and Africa, there are 31 Holiday Inn Hotels & Resorts open and an additional eight properties due to open within the next three to five years.
Globally, there are close to 1,200 Holiday Inn Hotels and Resorts open, with a further 262 due to open in the next three to five years.
