Dubai Land Department’s Dubai Property Show in Mumbai has generated inquiries worth $490m (AED1.8bn) in its third edition held earlier this month.

The third edition of Dubai Property Show in Mumbai concluded in India this week recording visitor footfall of 5,108 people, 24% higher than last year, the authority said in a statement.

According to Majida Ali Rashid, assistant director General, Dubai Land Department, Indian nationals have historically invested $34bn (AED126bn) in Dubai reality.

“The exhibition received a very encouraging response and surpassed expectations in terms of visitor footfall and even the business enquiries. This year the footfall was 24% higher than last year and even the enquiries generated increased by $163m (AED600m),” he said.

“Indians truly understand the worth of property investment and that’s why they are always enthusiastic about this asset class,” Ali Rashid added.

Supported by Dubai developers, the property exhibition was held from 3 to 5, November, 2017 at Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai.

Exhibitors participating in the third edition of Dubai Property Show in Mumbai include Falcon City of Wonders, Dubai Properties, Dubai Investments, Meydan Sobha as Platinum Sponsors, MAG Property Development as the Gold Sponsor, and Tebyan Real Estate Development LLC as the Silver Sponsor.

Nakheel, Azizi Developments, Kleindienst Group, Creative Zone, Dubai Sports City, Bloom Properties, Tiger Properties, Seven Tides, Binghatti Developers, and Deyaar also participated as exhibitors.
