Atlas has become one of the first overseas companies, and one of under 50 companies globally, to achieve a BIM level 2 Business Certification by the BRE, the company announced on Monday.

Atlas has been engaged in the execution of BIM projects since 2002, collaborating with clients in 10 countries in a number of sectors including architectural, engineering practices, and construction companies.

The certification will help speed up the tendering process for Atlas’ clients while also removing the requirement to carry out a capability assessment, reducing time and cost in the process.

Joe Woolf, Atlas founder and CEO, said: “We are honoured and privileged to have received this accreditation from BRE, and it reinforces our standing as a valued BIM leader, both in the UK and globally.”

BRE BIM Level 2 Certification assesses the business’s capability to utilise advanced BIM authoring tools and have the standards, methods, procedures, skilled staff and infrastructure in place for strict compliance with the UK Government’s strategy.

This demonstrates that Atlas has met the requirements of PAS 1192-2:2013 and section 4.2 table 8 of the PAS 91:2013. It is expected that PAS1192 will be applying for ISO accreditation.
