Integrated facilities management service provider G4S has announced the launch of its new B2C service.
G4S aviation solutions general manager Waqar Mohamed told fmME: “In October, we will launch our B2C product whereby customers can opt to buy a ‘clean-for-a-day’ service, for example.”
He also said that G4S – a company synonymous with security offerings – is working to build on its reputation as an IFM service provider.
“We don’t want to, by any means, take away from the core business we offer - which is security and that’s what we are renowned for world-over. We have had some successes whereby from a single service offering, we now have four to five service lines integrated for a particular customer on one site,” Mohamed said.
The trend, according to Mohamed, is for clients to source a one-stop solution and he believes there aren’t many world class operators in this space that can bridge the gap.
“We are thankfully one of them [global IFM companies], through our own services and trusted supplier network,” he added.
He also said that the company has introduced new 360o cash machines along with in the introduction of software for its airport projects, “which has helped us in documenting verification and resource management,” Mohamed added.
On the aviation front G4S works with Dubai Airports, which Mohamed says has been G4S’ “biggest customer” – including the likes of Etihad Airways, Dubai Duty Free and Fly Dubai.
Speaking about G4S’ core business offering – security – Mohamed says there have been several advancements beginning with technology. “From a security point of view, it’s an ever-evolving sector. Our joint MSS – man security and electronic security – is a powerful combination when they come together,” he added.
