Dubai-based construction company, ALEC, announced that it has been awarded as main contractor for the Dubai Hills Mall project by Emaar Properties.

The contractor said in a tweet on Sunday that it was “proud to be the main contractor for this exciting project”, without providing additional details.

Construction Week has emailed ALEC for further details about the contract award and will update this story as soon as the contractor responds.

 

 

Dubai Hills Mall, the latest retail project by Emaar, will have a gross leasable area (GLA) of more than 187,500m2, with more than 750 retail and F&B outlets.

Located within the Dubai Hills Estate development, the mall is scheduled for a late-2019 opening.

Earlier his month, ALEC was awarded a $163.3m (AED600m) contract by Select Group to develop the Jumeirah Living Marina Gate project in Dubai.

The 2B+G+M+8P+48+R tower will comprise 104 serviced apartments, 389 private residences, and 15 villas.
