Dubai Health Authority (DHA) announced that it has plans to carry out expansion activities at two of the four hospitals under its umbrella.
In a statement, DHA said that it will be expanding Hatta Hospital and Latifa Hospital in order to meet demand and ensure that patients have access to quality medical services.
Elaborating on its plans for Latifa Hospital, DHA revealed that it will be establishing a new fertility centre building in accordance with the best international standards. It will also be expanding the hospital’s maternity ward and emergency department to increase their capacity.
DHA further revealed that it will implementing internal modifications at Dubai Hospital, in a similar bid to increase capacity and meet growing demand from both local and international patients.
DHA’s expansion plans also cover a number of its health centres, specifically those in Umm Suqeim, Al Qusais, and Abu Hail.
By expanding the health centres, the authority said that it aims to increase their capacities, as well as equip them with the latest technologies and smart systems.
According to DHA, Family Gathering Centre will also undergo expansion, with the construction of a new building offering medical and social services for the elderly.
