Intermat, the machinery show held in Paris every three years, is planning to complement its international emphasis in its 2018 edition with a fresh focus on France, Africa and the Middle East.

The event, running from 23 April to 28 April, is being billed as “the only construction exhibition offering access to the French, Mediterranean and African markets”.

According to the organiser, Comexposium, Intermat 2015 attracted 183,000 visitors – 65% of which came from France and more than 80% coming from Europe, Africa and the Middle East combined.

With the new focus in 2018, Intermat is playing to its strong following from this combined region. Intermat 2015 also attracted 1,415 exhibitors – around 70% of them from outside France.

The event will be split into four sectors: earthmoving and demolition; road, mineral and foundations; lifting and transportation; and buildings and concrete, including the World of Concrete Europe event.
