Dubai Properties Group has confirmed that a deal has been finalised with Safa Private School to develop a new Safa British Academy at Dubailand.

The school will be built on a 385,417 ft2 plot near Al Barsha South 3, which is close to existing Dubailand communities such as Motor City, The Villa and the recently relaunched Mudon Townhouse community.

It will cater for students from foundation year to year 13 and will offer an "internationally-recognised" curriculum taught by British-trained teachers.

The school will have a Global Learning Centre featuring a 500-seat auditorium and a Black Box Theatre with AV studios. It will also house a 50m Olympic-sized swimming pool, a training pool, tennis courts, indoor cricket pitches and an outdoor astroturf football field.

The first students, from foundation stage one to year 4, and years 7-9, will be able to attend from September next year.
